Taking A Look At The BP Credit Card

In Credit Cards - Types of Cards - 11 months ago

Taking a look at the BP credit card reveals a card from Chase Bank that is offered by British Petroleum but which is far more than just a card to be used at one of its thousands of gasoline service stations, for a fact. It is administered through Visa, which is one of the two major credit card administrative organizations in the world. It comes with a number of fine rewards and perks, and applying for one has never been easier, it must be said.

The typical BP credit card application can be accomplished online, either at the credit card website itself or through a credit card directory – which is probably the more reasonable way to go about obtaining this card. There are several very nice features that are offered by BP when it comes to this card, by the way. For one, it offers 5% rebates for purchases made at BP/Amoco stations anywhere in the world the card is excepted.

For those who make use of a gas credit card, the BP credit card is probably the more versatile choice, because purchases aren't just limited to gasoline stations, either. You'll also get a very nice 2% rebate on any purchases made at dining establishments or purchases for travel from airlines, cruise lines and the like. This can make the card a preferred instrument when it comes to credit, as a matter of fact.

The way the 2% rebate program works is that a holder of the card who uses it will receive a rebate in that amount for every one dollar of net purchases at designated dining establishments (with the exception of fast food restaurants), airlines, car rental establishments and hotels and motels or other lodging establishments. For other purchases, there is still a 1% rebate available under the same terms.

The BP credit card also features a nice introductory rate for the first 60 days, which also includes a 10% rebate at any BP/Amoco location that participates in the program, very nice 4% rebate levels on purchases made for travel and dining and 2% rebates on any other type of purchase made. Remember, this is for the first 60 days the card is held.

A strong selling point for this particular card is the fact that there is also no annual fee attached. It also comes with a very nice annual percentage rate (APR), though it will always be the case that interest rates can adjust upwards or downwards on a regular basis. Read the terms and conditions when applying for the card in order to determine the present interest rate, though it is an industry leader in maintaining reasonable rates, it needs to be said.

When one stops to consider that the BP credit card comes with no annual fee, has a variety of quality rebate programs and is considered to be one of the most attractive cards of its type in the business, there is almost no downside to going with the card itself. Remember to treat credit as a valuable commodity and be responsible with it, and all should go quite nicely.
